A not-so-secret truth about wedding photographers is we love venues we’ve never been to before, so I was all sorts of excited to shoot Sarah and John’s wedding at the Piatt Castle in West Liberty. What an amazing location for a wedding! The weather did help us out by giving us the perfect temperature. The ceremony was set up underneath a big tree and the sun was shining through the leaves as Sarah and John said their I dos. Sarah and John both come from large families, but Sarah’s family has John’s beat with 12 brothers and sisters total (yep, you heard that correctly!). How fun! In fact, Sarah’s dad said to me after the ceremony, “You know things are better by the dozen”… and I couldn’t agree more. It was wonderful to see all of the love Sarah and John were surrounded by that day and the merging of two families to make an even bigger one. By far, my favorite moment was watching Sarah and John take their first dance, alone together in a field at sunset. Sarah and John, thank you for choosing me to document this special day in your lives. I wish you the very best!
